Details and Criteria

• You do not have to be an AFP member to nominate
• You can nominate a past winner in a different category
• Nomination forms are not carried from year-to-year. Feel free to resubmit nominations from previous years for consideration this year.
Award Categories
Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer – Honouring an individual or family who demonstrates outstanding skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for fundraising projects for local not for profit organizations.
Outstanding Business or Corporation– Honouring a business or corporation who demonstrates outstanding commitment towards philanthropy and community involvement (may include a portion of in-kind support).
Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy – Honouring an individual ages 5-25, who demonstrate an outstanding fundraising commitment to the community.
Outstanding Fundraising Innovation – Honouring a not for profit organization who has created an innovative fundraising campaign or initiative that achieved or exceeded its target. This award will celebrate the challenges faced by the charitable sector to think outside the box by creating something new, or breathing new life into an old campaign or initiative to increase funds and awareness.
Outstanding Community Champion – Honouring a business, organization or individual who exemplifies an outstanding commitment to engage, support and collaborate with charitable organizations and individuals in the community. form.
Outstanding Fundraising Professional – Honouring a fundraising executive whose actions and leadership exemplify ethical and effective professional practice and whose performance has enhanced the financial resources and recognition of the organization(s) for which they work.
NEW! Spirit of IDEA Award –Honouring an individual or organization who participate in a variety of corporate and community fundraising initiatives that strives for and promotes mutual respect, acceptance, cooperation or tolerance: any level of involvement in community events, projects, efforts or organizations that promote or celebrate tolerance and contribute to diversity awareness and inclusivity in the community and workplace.
